Our Story: From a Single Push Mower to Anchorage’s Trusted Crew
In 2013, I founded Highmark Services with a Honda push mower, a basic string trimmer, and five local yards to mow. Driven by a desire to work for myself and save for my first truck, I set out into our South Anchorage and Hillside neighborhoods in rain or shine.
As our clients’ trust grew, so did the business. I purchased that first truck, added commercial equipment, and introduced snow removal using a plow on a side-by-side recreational vehicle. Now 13 years later in 2026, Highmark Services has evolved from a one-man operation into a full-scale property maintenance team. We continually reinvest in our equipment, our crew, and our community to handle jobs of any scale:
- Heavy-Duty Fleet: Our operational equipment includes Kubota tractors equipped with snowblowers, along with graders, dump trucks, water trucks, sweepers, and sanders.
- Year-Round Lawn Care: We utilize a commercial fleet of mowers, leaf blowers, line trimmers, dethatchers, and rough cutters to keep properties pristine spring through fall.
- A Dedicated Team: Our crew scales between 8 to 12 skilled professionals depending on the season. We are family, friends, and trusted colleagues proud to serve our home town.
What began with five residential lawns has expanded to hundreds of homes, local businesses, neighborhood associations, and Municipality of Anchorage sites.
