Why We Are Passionate About Our Work
Founding Highmark Services
In 2013, Matthew Brandt founded Highmark Services with a vision to provide unparalleled lawn maintenance and snow removal services to the South Anchorage and Hillside areas. What started as a one-man operation has blossomed into a thriving business catering to both commercial and residential clients.
The Early Days
I began this venture with a simple goal – to escape the monotony of minimum wage jobs confined indoors. Armed with determination, I canvassed my neighborhood, securing five yards of varying sizes. Armed with only a Honda push mower and a basic trimmer, I took my first steps.
Growth and Progress
Year by year, I reinvested in my business. By 2014, I upgraded to a Honda commercial mower and trimmer, and by 2015, I had saved enough to purchase my first truck, expanding my reach. The acquisition of an enclosed trailer in 2016 streamlined services, and the addition of a Walker Riding lawn mower in 2017 marked a significant milestone.
Diversification and Expansion
Over the years, I incorporated snow removal services using a side-by-side with a snow plow. In 2017, a second truck, equipped with a commercial-duty snow plow, was added to the fleet.
